Graveside Service for former Frederick resident Gloria F. Rodawalt age 83 of Fort Worth, Texas will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mrs. Rodawalt passed away Saturday morning, October 11, 2008, in a Fort Worth, Texas hospital.
Gloria F. (Oberlender) Rodawalt was born August 23, 1925, at Frederick, Oklahoma to Lee and Zelma (Hines) Oberlender. After graduation from Frederick High School, she worked at the Army Air Field in Frederick. She was united in marriage to Lee R. Rodawalt of Electra, Texas, on July 14, 1945. As the wife of a career Army officer, she traveled extensively. Gloria was active in Officer Wives’ Clubs, serving as president and secretary. She also worked as an assistant to a foreign diplomat while on assignment with her husband in Africa. She retired as director of administration at the Ft. Rucker (Alabama)Army Aviation museum where she worked for ten years. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
She is survived by her husband: Lee R. Rodawalt of the home; two daughters: Valarie J. Rodawalt of Carrollton, Texas and Carolyn S. Cunningham-Stanley and her husband: Harold Stanley of Dallas, Texas; a son: Keith B. Rodawalt and his wife Cindy of Lewisville, Texas; six grandchildren: Melissa Mitchell and her husband Marcus, Heather McMinn and her husband Jason, Emily, Anthony, Tory and Taylor Rodawalt; and three great-grandchildren: Shane Mitchell, Mallory and Amelia McMinn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter: Nancy L. Rodawalt.

Funeral service for Fred Stevens, Jr., age 86, of Frederick will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Stevens passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the Oklahoma Veterans Center - Lawton/Ft. Sill Division.
Fred Stevens, Jr. was born on December 30, 1922 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Fred and Bertie Bee (Crowley) Stevens. He attended Alpine School before transferring to Weaver where he graduated as valedictorian of his senior class. Fred served in the United States Marines during World War II. He was united in marriage to Imogene Manning on February 11, 1942 in Tipton, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2003. Fred was a self-employed truck driver for Fred Stevens Trucking. He had driven innumerable miles from 1954 to 1991. He was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sisters-in-law: Marlene Stevens of Frederick and Rada Diamond and her husband Roy of Conrad, Iowa; seven nephews and nieces: Rebecca Refner, Jim Stevens, Cheryl Matthis, Mark Stevens, Ann Leyja, Stoney Stevens and Rickey Stevens; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers: Tex and Johnny Bert Stevens; and one sister: Mary Lou Chesser.
